Services
Rectal surgery and proctology deal with complaints in the rectal and anal area. Examination is discreet, respectful and focused on assessing symptoms clearly and planning suitable treatment steps.
Scope of services
Common concerns include hemorrhoidal complaints, bleeding, pain, itching, anal fissures, anal fistulas, stenosis with bowel movement problems, abscesses, anal prolapse and pilonidal sinus. Many of these complaints are common, but should be medically assessed if they recur or persist.
Depending on the symptoms, inspection, palpation, proctoscopy or additional imaging may be used. Diagnostics are performed as gently as possible and explained beforehand.
Treatment depends on the stage and findings: conservative care, medication, sclerotherapy, injections or suitable microsurgical and outpatient procedures may be considered.
After treatment, care, hygiene, nutrition, stool regulation and follow-up checks are important. Follow-up is tailored individually so that healing and possible recurrence can be identified early.
