Services
Foot surgery considers pain, deformities, load-bearing ability and gait. The aim is a factual assessment and, where appropriate, outpatient treatment to improve function and stability.
Scope of services
Common complaints include exostoses on toes, heel or instep, plantar fasciitis, midfoot deformities, hallux valgus, hammer toe, ingrown toenails, nail deformities, persistent nail complaints and congenital malformations such as syndactyly or polydactyly.
Diagnostics include clinical examination, load assessment, questions about footwear and daily life, and X-rays or further imaging when needed.
Options include counseling, conservative steps, nail surgery, removal of bothersome bone prominences, correction of suitable deformities and reconstructive procedures for congenital malformations. Suitable procedures may also be planned under foot block anesthesia depending on the findings.
After the procedure, dressing changes, gradual loading, footwear and follow-up checks are coordinated. Orthopedic technology or physiotherapy may be included when needed.
